About Michaela Karl
Michaela Karl was born in 1971 and studied political science, history and psychology. She has been particularly successful with her biographies, for example about Dorothy Parker (“Another Martini and I'm Under My Host”) and Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald (“We'll Break the Ten Commandments and Our Necks”). In 2016 her book about Unity Mitford, “I Was Just Leafing Through Vogue When the Führer Accosted Me”, was published and in 2019 she released “I Would Never Read That Without Wearing Lipstick” about Maeve Brennan. Michaela Karl is a member of the writers’ association Münchner Turmschreiber. In 2020, she received the Kulturpreis Bayern and in 2022 she was honored with the Bayerischer Poetentaler from the Munich writers’ guild.
