The sheep detectives are baaaack! With Leonie Swann and Maren Kroymann
Finally, a new case for the sheep detectives! Leonie Swann scored a global hit with her book “Three Bags Full” (adapted to the big screen as “The Sheep Detectives” in 2026). Now, her new novel Widdersehen takes us back to the familiar landscape of Ireland, where nothing is as it first seems. When shepherdess Rebecca abruptly ends her European trip and leads Miss Maple’s herd back to the Irish fields, the sheep are initially as optimistic as spring lambs. After all, what could be nicer than the meadows of home? The youngest newcomer – Madouc, officially a goat but unofficially a “sheep on probation” – is also excited and hoping for new insights into the secret world of sheep. But shortly after they arrive, it seems that Rebecca has disappeared without a trace. The only thing left behind is a single finger (not a good start) and a mysterious letter which the sheep cannot interpret without a person to read it aloud. The herd fears the worst.
