Stable poetry – What does a songwriter read? Bosse and the books of his life
with Bosse Marion Brasch
He signed his first record deal at the age of 17 and launched his solo career in 2003. For decades, Axel “Aki” Bosse has been thrilling his fans with songs such as “Schönste Zeit”, “Der letzte Tanz”, “Ein Traum” and “So oder so”. His tenth and most recent album “Stabile Poesie” [“Stable Poetry”] debuted at number two in the charts in April 2026. It is no exaggeration to say: Bosse is a big name in the German music industry! So we wondered: What does a songwriter – who tells his own stories in the form of music and lyrics – like to read? Which books have accompanied Bosse throughout his life? Which ones have shaped, consoled and inspired him? And what is the connection between literature and music? The power of language, rhythmic and compact, which can create entire worlds with just a few words? In conversation with Marion Brasch, Bosse will take us along on his personal literary journey of discovery – and he’ll play a few old and new songs too!
