About Sabin Tambrea
Sabin Tambrea was born in Romania in 1984. After studying acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin, he made his movie debut as Ludwig II of Bavaria in 2013. In addition to his work with the Berlin Ensemble under the direction of Claus Peymann, he took on other movie and TV roles, including “The Interpreter of Silence”, “In a Land That No Longer Exists”, “Ku´damm 56/59/63”, “Babylon Berlin”, “Narcissus and Goldmund” and “Naked Among Wolves”. His debut novel, “Nightlife”, was published in 2021 and became a Der Spiegel best seller. He is currently working on “Vaterländer” [“Fatherlands”], an autofictional novel scheduled for publication in autumn 2024, which tells the migration story of three generations of his family. Sabin has recently been in front of the camera as Franz Kafka in the film version of Michael Kumpfmüller’s “The Glory of Life” and in “The Way Home” by Sebastian Fitzek.
