About Alain Claude Sulzer

Alain Claude Sulzer was born in 1953 and lives and works as a freelance writer in Basel, Berlin and the Alsace region. He has published several novels, most recently “Doppelleben” [“Double Life”] (2022) and “Almost Like a Brother” (2024). His books have been translated into many languages. Accolades for his work include the Prix Médicis étranger, the Hermann Hesse Award and the Cultural Award of the City of Basel.
