About Ulrike Zavelberg
Ulrike Zavelberg works in the Cologne area as a freelance cellist and teacher of cello and chamber music. She studied cello in Cologne and Aachen, completing her studies in 1991 with Prof. Young-Chang Cho at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. She is a founding member of the multiple award-winning Rubin Quartet, with whom she plays in numerous radio productions. The impressive breadth of her artistic work is reflected in her albums, for example the Authentic Classical Concerts series, recorded live and featuring works by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven, plus many contemporary music productions.
